Plagiarism Policy

The Cosmic Journal of Languages (CJL) has a strict policy against plagiarism. Plagiarism is the act of using someone else's work without giving them credit. This includes copying text, ideas, or images from other sources without citing them properly.

CJL uses Turnitin, a plagiarism detection service, to screen all submissions. If a submission is found to be plagiarized, it will be rejected and the author may be banned from submitting to the journal in the future.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original and that they have properly cited all sources of information. This includes citing both published and unpublished sources, such as personal communications and interviews.

CJL defines plagiarism as follows:

  • Plagiarism is the use of someone else's work without giving them credit. This includes copying text, ideas, or images from other sources without citing them properly.
  • Plagiarism can occur intentionally or unintentionally. However, it is always a serious academic offense.
  • CJL considers all forms of plagiarism to be unacceptable, regardless of the source of the plagiarized material.

CJL takes plagiarism very seriously and will take appropriate action against any author who is found to have plagiarized. This may include rejection of the submission, a ban from submitting to the journal in the future, and/or a report to the author's institution.

Authors who have any questions about CJL's plagiarism policy should contact the journal editor.

Here are some tips for avoiding plagiarism:

  • Always cite your sources properly. This means including the author(s), title, publication information, and page numbers for any borrowed material.
  • Do not copy text directly from other sources. Instead, paraphrase or summarize the material in your own words.
  • If you are unsure whether or not you need to cite a source, err on the side of caution and cite it anyway.
  • Use a plagiarism checker such as Turnitin to help you identify any instances of plagiarism in your work.

By following these tips, you can help to ensure that your work is original and that you are giving credit to the authors of the sources you use.
