Licensing Policy

The Cosmic Journal of Religious Studies is an open-access journal, which means that all published articles are immediately available to the public for free, without any restrictions on use, distribution, or reproduction. The journal uses the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows authors to retain copyright of their work, while granting users permission to share, adapt, and build upon the work under the following conditions:

    • Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
    • NonCommercial: Users may not use the material for commercial purposes.
  • ShareAlike: If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

Authors retain the following rights:

  • Copyright: Authors retain copyright of their work and may distribute it and use it for non-commercial purposes in any way they like.
  • Self-Archiving: Authors may archive the pre-print and post-print versions of their articles on their own websites or in institutional repositories.

Authors grant the journal the following rights:

  • First Publication: Authors grant the journal the exclusive right of first publication of their article.
  • Distribution: The journal has the right to distribute the article in any format, including print, online, and in electronic repositories.
  • Indexing: The journal has the right to index and archive the article in electronic databases.

Authors agree to the following:

  • Originality: Authors warrant that their article is original and has not been published elsewhere.
  • Authorship: Authors warrant that they are the sole authors of the article and have the right to grant the journal the rights set forth in this policy.
  • Accuracy: Authors warrant that the article is accurate and does not contain any misleading or false information.

The journal reserves the right to:

  • Reject: The journal reserves the right to reject any article that does not meet its editorial standards.
  • Retract: The journal reserves the right to retract any article that is found to be plagiarized or to contain false or misleading information.

This licensing policy is subject to change at any time. Authors will be notified of any changes to the policy before their article is published.
