Abstract

This paper explores the emerging interdisciplinary field of astrobiology, focusing on the
potential impact of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) on biological systems. GRBs, the most energetic
and mysterious explosions in the universe, raise intriguing questions about their effects on life
beyond Earth. We investigate the mechanisms by which GRBs can influence terrestrial and
extraterrestrial biospheres, the adaptation strategies of extremophiles, and the implications for
the search for life in the cosmos. By bridging astrophysics and biology, this research offers
insights into the intricate relationship between cosmic phenomena and the possibility of life
beyond our planet.
