Publication Ethics
The Cosmic Journal of Arts and Humanities is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics. We expect all authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to these standards, which are based on the following principles:
Honesty and integrity: All research and writing should be conducted and reported honestly and accurately. Authors should avoid any form of plagiarism or scientific misconduct.
Transparency and openness: Authors should disclose all relevant information about their research, including funding sources, conflicts of interest, and any data or materials that were used in the study. Reviewers and editors should also be transparent in their decision-making processes.
Fairness and impartiality: All submissions should be reviewed fairly and impartially, without regard to the author's race, gender, nationality, or other personal characteristics.
Respect for others: Authors should respect the privacy and confidentiality of their research participants and other individuals involved in their work. Reviewers and editors should also treat authors and other colleagues with respect.
Specific publication ethics guidelines for the Cosmic Journal of Arts and Humanities include the following:
- Authorship: Only those who have made a significant contribution to the research or writing of a manuscript should be listed as authors. All authors should be aware of and agree to the contents of the manuscript prior to its submission.
- Conflicts of interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, such as financial or personal relationships with companies or organizations that could benefit from the publication of their research.
- Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and does not plagiarize the work of others.
- Data and materials: Authors must provide reviewers with access to all data and materials that were used in their research, unless there are ethical or legal reasons to withhold this information.
- Dual submission: Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
- Duplicate publication: Authors must not publish the same manuscript in multiple journals without proper disclosure.
- Self-citation: Authors should cite their own work in moderation and avoid excessive self-citation.
