Waiver-Eligibility
The Cosmic Journal of Arts and Humanities (CJAH) offers waivers to authors who meet certain criteria. These criteria include:
- Financial hardship: Authors who are unable to afford the journal's publication fees may be eligible for a waiver.
- Underrepresented groups: Authors from underrepresented groups, such as women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ people, may be eligible for a waiver.
- High-quality work: Authors who submit work that is of high quality and meets the journal's standards may be eligible for a waiver.
To apply for a waiver, authors should submit a letter to the editor-in-chief explaining their circumstances and why they are requesting a waiver. The editor-in-chief will review the letter and make a decision on a case-by-case basis.
Here are some specific examples of situations where an author may be eligible for a waiver:
- An author who is a graduate student and does not have access to funding for publication fees.
- An author who is from a low-income country and cannot afford the journal's fees.
- An author who is a member of an underrepresented group and faces discrimination in the publishing industry.
- An author who has submitted a high-quality manuscript that is likely to be accepted for publication in the journal.
If you are unsure whether you are eligible for a waiver, you should contact the editor-in-chief of the CJAH.

- Be clear and concise in your letter.
- Explain your circumstances in detail.

- Proofread your letter carefully before submitting it.
