Any fees charged by UEBSS—such as article processing charges, submission fees, or publication-related costs—are applied strictly to support editorial operations, peer review management, digital infrastructure, archiving, and administrative services. Once a manuscript has entered the editorial or peer-review process, significant resources and professional time are allocated. Therefore, fees paid after the commencement of review or editorial assessment are generally non-refundable.

Refunds may be considered in limited and exceptional circumstances. These may include duplicate payments made by the author, technical or administrative errors on the part of the journal, or withdrawal of a manuscript by the journal prior to the initiation of peer review. In such cases, authors must submit a formal written request to the editorial office, including relevant payment details and justification. Each request will be reviewed carefully, and decisions will be communicated in a timely and transparent manner.

No refunds will be issued for manuscripts rejected after peer review, withdrawn by authors during or after the review process, or delayed due to author-related issues such as failure to respond to revision requests or non-compliance with submission guidelines. Additionally, once an article has been accepted, processed for publication, or published online, all associated fees become strictly non-refundable.

UEBSS reserves the right to update or amend this refund policy when necessary to reflect operational, legal, or ethical considerations. Any changes will be made publicly available on the journal’s official platform. By submitting a manuscript and completing a payment, authors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy, reinforcing the journal’s commitment to accountability, clarity, and professional publishing practices.
