Waiver Eligibility

Unique Endeavor in Business & Social Sciences (UEBSS) recognizes that financial constraints should not prevent the dissemination of high-quality scholarly research. In support of inclusivity, academic equity, and global knowledge exchange, the journal offers a waiver and discount policy for eligible authors who may face genuine economic or institutional limitations. This policy is designed to ensure that publication decisions are based solely on academic merit and not on an author’s ability to pay.

Waiver eligibility is primarily considered for authors from low- and lower-middle-income countries, early-career researchers, independent scholars, and postgraduate students who lack sufficient research funding or institutional support. In exceptional cases, authors experiencing unforeseen financial hardship may also apply for consideration. The availability of waivers is subject to the journal’s operational capacity and is evaluated carefully to maintain the sustainability and quality of publishing services.

All waiver requests must be submitted formally at the time of manuscript submission or prior to the initiation of the peer-review process. Requests should include a brief justification and, where applicable, supporting information such as institutional affiliation, funding status, or student enrollment. Waiver applications are reviewed independently from the editorial evaluation of the manuscript to ensure fairness, confidentiality, and the absence of bias in publication decisions.

Approval of a waiver does not guarantee acceptance of the manuscript. All submissions, regardless of waiver status, are subject to the same rigorous peer-review standards, ethical requirements, and editorial criteria applied by UEBSS. The journal reserves the right to grant full waivers, partial waivers, or discounts based on individual circumstances and available resources.

UEBSS reserves the right to amend or update this Waiver Eligibility policy in response to evolving academic, financial, or institutional conditions. Any changes will be communicated transparently through the journal’s official platform. By applying for a waiver, authors acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy, reaffirming the journal’s commitment to academic fairness, accessibility, and ethical publishing practices.
