Licensing Policy

Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies

The Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies (JTFS) is committed to the broad dissemination, accessibility, and ethical reuse of scholarly research. All articles published in the journal are made available under a clear and transparent licensing framework that supports academic sharing while protecting the rights of authors and the integrity of the published work.

Authors who publish in JTFS retain the copyright to their work while granting the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, archive, and make the article publicly available in all formats, including print and digital platforms. This licensing arrangement allows the journal to disseminate the work globally while ensuring that authors remain the rightful owners of their intellectual property.

Under this policy, readers, researchers, educators, and institutions are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of published articles for non-commercial scholarly and educational purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the original authors and the journal. Any reuse of the content must maintain the integrity of the work and include appropriate citation of the source.

Commercial use, redistribution for profit, or modification of published content requires prior written permission from both the author and the Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies. This ensures that the scholarly work is not misused, misrepresented, or exploited in ways that violate academic or ethical standards.

The journal also grants permission for articles to be archived in institutional repositories, academic databases, and indexing platforms in order to increase visibility, long-term preservation, and global accessibility. Authors are encouraged to share their published work through personal, institutional, and academic networks while respecting the terms of this licensing policy.

JTFS reserves the right to update or modify its licensing framework to align with international publishing standards, open-access principles, and evolving legal requirements. Any changes will be implemented in a transparent manner and will not affect the rights granted to authors for articles already published.

By submitting and publishing in the Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies, authors agree to this licensing policy, which is designed to promote knowledge sharing, academic integrity, and responsible use of scholarly research across the global textile and fashion studies community.
