Refund Policy

Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies

The Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies (JTFS) is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and ethical standards in all financial transactions related to manuscript processing and publication services. All fees charged by the journal, including article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or publication fees, are used solely to support editorial management, peer review, digital publishing, archiving, and long-term preservation of scholarly content.

Once a manuscript has been formally submitted and enters the editorial or peer review process, the processing fee becomes non-refundable. This is because the journal incurs administrative, technical, and editorial costs immediately after submission, including plagiarism screening, reviewer assignment, editorial evaluation, and system processing. These services are provided regardless of the final editorial decision.

If a manuscript is rejected after peer review or editorial evaluation, no refund will be issued, as the journal has already delivered the full scope of its editorial and review services. Similarly, withdrawal of a manuscript by the author after submission, during review, or after acceptance does not entitle the author to any refund of fees paid.

In cases where a manuscript is withdrawn before entering the formal peer review process, a partial refund may be considered only if a written request is submitted and the editorial office confirms that no editorial or technical work has been carried out. Any approved refund in such cases may be subject to administrative or transaction charges.

If an author has made a duplicate payment, an overpayment, or an error in the payment process, the journal will verify the transaction and issue a refund for the excess amount after confirmation. Refunds in such cases will be processed using the original payment method wherever possible and may require additional verification.

The Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies reserves the right to refuse refunds in cases involving academic misconduct, including plagiarism, falsification of data, or ethical violations discovered at any stage of the publication process. In such situations, fees paid will be considered forfeited due to the misuse of editorial and publishing resources.

All refund-related requests must be submitted in writing to the journal’s editorial office with complete transaction details. The journal will review each request carefully and communicate the final decision in a timely and professional manner. By submitting a manuscript and making a payment, authors agree to abide by this refund policy and the journal’s overall publication terms.
