Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies

The Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies (JTFS) is firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited and is regarded as a serious violation of ethical and scholarly conduct. The journal upholds a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism to protect the credibility of published research and the trust of the academic community.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, the copying of text, ideas, data, figures, or images from another source without proper acknowledgment; the submission of another person’s work as one’s own; excessive paraphrasing without citation; and the reuse of one’s own previously published work without disclosure (self-plagiarism). All sources must be clearly cited, and appropriate credit must be given to original authors.

All manuscripts submitted to JTFS are screened using reliable plagiarism detection software before they are sent for peer review. If a manuscript shows significant similarity with previously published work, it will be rejected immediately. Minor cases of improper citation or unintentional overlap may be returned to the author for correction at the discretion of the editorial team.

If plagiarism is discovered at any stage of the review or publication process, including after publication, the journal will take appropriate action. This may include rejection of the manuscript, withdrawal of acceptance, publication of a correction, or retraction of the article. In serious cases, the author’s institution or funding body may also be notified.

Authors are fully responsible for the originality and authenticity of their submissions. By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies, authors affirm that their work is original, has not been plagiarized, and has not been published or submitted elsewhere in the same or substantially similar form.

JTFS continuously works to uphold ethical publishing standards and to educate authors about responsible research and writing practices. This plagiarism policy ensures that all published articles represent genuine, credible, and valuable contributions to the fields of textile and fashion studies.
