The Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies (JTFS) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly excellence through a rigorous, fair, and transparent peer review process. Peer review is a fundamental component of the journal’s editorial workflow and ensures that all published research meets accepted academic, ethical, and professional standards in the fields of textile science, fashion studies, apparel technology, and related disciplines.

JTFS operates a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. This approach promotes objectivity, minimizes bias, and ensures that manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of their scholarly merit, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to assess their suitability, originality, and compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are then sent to independent expert reviewers who possess relevant academic and professional expertise. Typically, each manuscript is evaluated by at least two reviewers.

Reviewers are required to provide constructive, critical, and unbiased evaluations of the manuscript, addressing its scientific quality, theoretical contribution, clarity, ethical compliance, and overall value to the academic community. Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and must not use or share the manuscript content for personal or professional advantage.

Editors of the Journal of Textile & Fashion Studies make final publication decisions based on the reviewers’ reports and the overall quality of the manuscript. Editorial decisions are guided by academic merit, originality, relevance, and ethical compliance, and are never influenced by financial considerations, author identity, or institutional affiliation.

The journal is committed to timely and respectful communication throughout the review process. Authors are provided with reviewers’ comments and editorial feedback to support the improvement of their work, whether it is accepted, revised, or rejected. All communication between authors, reviewers, and editors is treated with strict confidentiality.
